Felixstowe Sewing School

Hello and welcome to Felixstowe Sewing School

A crafty and sewing haven in the seaside town of Felixstowe near Ipswich, Suffolk. Run by Amanda Bowden, (BTEC Distinction, BA Hons Fashion, PGCE) this small and very friendly sewing school offers classes, and lessons for the beginner and novice sewer.

We have a series of workshops for the more experienced seamstress, dressmaker or fabric and textile lover including dressmaking for beginners, pyjama workshops, how to make vintage toys, make a retro apron – to release the inner domestic goddess – to name but a few! Why not join Amanda for a sew-in party – baby shower quilt workshop, hen parties (garter making, lap quilt, knicker bags) or teen pyjama parties. Learn to sew so that you can make your own clothes, accessories and home furnishings – it’s fantastic!

Enjoy yourself by sewing away your time in Amanda’s tailor made classroom and benefit from her 15 years of experience as a design and technology teacher, free refreshments whilst you work with wonderful home made cakes.

Check out the course and workshop page for dates and further information.
