Mrs Bowden’s top bosom tip!
Mrs Bowden’s top tip – This top tip is to help you work out what cup size you are.
The standard cup size on commercial patterns is a B cup. The commerical pattern manufacturer’s offer some patterns with different cup sizes to save you having to make the bust adjustments.
To work out your cup size follow these steps.
Step one – take your bust measurement by drawing the tape around your torso so it goes over the fullest part of your bosom and straight across your back (going under the armpits).
Step two – measure around your torso underneath the bosom and straight across your back to find out your underbust measurement.
Step three – work out the difference between the full bust measurement and the underbust measurement and so find your cup size.
Difference Cup size
Up to 2.5 cm (1”) A
Up to 5 cm (2”) B
Up to 7.5 cm (3”) C
Up to 10 cm (4″) D
