Top tip – non slip pedal
January, for me, conjures up romantic notions of snow ball fights and skating rinks……so inspiring the first top tip of 2016.
In order to avoid the foot pedal on your sewing machine skating about on your floor, use a rectangle of non-slip matting (available from shops where everything costs only £1.00 good British pound). You will find you won’t have to chase your pedal around or retrieve it from the back of your sewing table. It will also help you to maintain good posture when sewing thus allowing hours more stitching time without compromising your comfort.
A very happy and healthy New Year to you all.
In stitches,

I’ve just realised – you can also get this stuff from the $2 stores (sorry, Colonial here) as things to put under plates to stop them running away.
As soon as I can move my sore muscles again, I’ll go get one.
